Will hypnotism stop smoking really work for you? The only way to know for sure is to try it and find out. There is no reason that you should hesitate even for one second in trying this out as a means to help you quit smoking. Try it now and see if it works for you. If not, then try something else.

I have personally known people that I had very little hope for in quitting smoking who were successful due to hypnotism.

That is enough evidence right there, for me, that I would urge anyone who is debating with this idea to just go ahead and take the plunge and do it. You have nothing to lose. Hypnotism is relatively cheap. What is it, 60 bucks for a session? 200 bucks per session? It doesn’t even matter. It is so much cheaper than smoking that it is ridiculous. If you try it and it works, it is like winning the lottery. You get several thousand bucks out of the deal every year (in money saved from not smoking) and you also get several more years of your life added on (can you really put a dollar value on that?). Now this is not to say that if you get hypnotized that you will definitely quit smoking for sure and not have any problems. There is no guarantee of course. But this is going to be true no matter how you quit smoking. There is no magic bullet. I don’t care if you use the patch, the gum, the medications, the lozenges, the pills, the acupuncture, the ear magnets, the laser treatments, it just doesn’t matter. None of these methods insure that you will never smoke again. All of them are susceptible to failure and relapse. The only method that really works is the one that works for you.

So what are you waiting for? Commit to yourself that you are going to quit smoking no matter what. Make a promise to yourself that you are not going to just allow yourself to smoke mindlessly any more without thinking of quitting. You have to push yourself to quit. You have to make an effort. If you rely on quit smoking aids to help you, they cannot motivate you buy themselves. The only way to really quit is to make the decision internally first, then seek out whatever help you need to make it happen.

What about hypnotherapy quit smoking as a means to stop your cigarette habit? Can this be a helpful technique to help you to quit, or is it just a gimmick that people use to make money off of desperate quitters?

In my experience, quit smoking hypnotherapy is more than just a gimmick, it really does help people to quit. Some of the “hardest” cases that I have seen have been hard core smokers of several decades that I did not think had a good chance at quitting smoking. These people were successful using hypnosis to quit. I don’t know the status of all of these people today, but I know of at least one who is still smoke free after several years, and he used hypnotherapy as his primary means of quitting.

Now if your idea is that you want to quit smoking, and you are going to rely on hypnosis to be your magic bullet, then that might be a bit misguided. Understand that no quit smoking technique, including hypnotherapy, can really make you want to quit smoking. None of these methods or quit smoking aids can really give you the desire to stop smoking. You have to want it for yourself, from deep down inside you….and then these techniques and therapies can help. Most people can look back at their failed attempts at quitting and see that they were just not ready to quit yet….they did not really want to stop smoking like they thought they did. What they wanted at the time, was they wanted to want to stop smoking, if that makes any sense. They wished things were different. But they did not have a genuine desire to change.

It is only after a person has genuinely decided to make a change, on a really deep level, that they are ready to quit smoking. I do not believe that hypnosis or quit smoking therapies can get a person to this point. Now even after a person reaches this point, they still might screw up and relapse, which is why things like hypnotherapy to quit smoking can still help a great deal. But you have to be really ready to stop before you invest your time, money, and effort into a technique like this.

Is it affordable? Hypnosis for stopping smoking is dirt cheap when you compare it to the cost of smoking. Add up your cigarette expenditures over the last couple years and then see how much it costs to be hypnotized. I think you will see which is the better deal!

Should you use a quit smoking hypnotist to help you on your journey to quit smoking cigarettes? Absolutely. Go find one today and pay them to help you quit.

Seriously, this is a better idea than doing nothing. Whether or not hypnotism can really help you quit is WAY beside the point. You need to be quitting, right now, period. Anyone who is still continuing to smoke cigarettes needs to take urgent action. If going to see a hypnotist will get you motivated to give it another shot at quitting, then that is what you should do. It certainly is cheap enough.

How much does a hypnotist cost? Not much really. Anywhere from like $50 to $300 dollars for a session. I can just hear people freaking out at those numbers: “300 dollars?! That is crazy!”

Why don’t you take a step back and tally up the amount of money you have spent on cigarettes over the last decade. Seriously. I will stand here and wait for you while you get out pencil and paper. Could be some complicated math, actually, because they used to be so much cheaper, didn’t they? I remember when they were $2.25 a pack for name brand, out the door. Those were the days.

So yeah, a pack a day smoker can easily go through over ten thousand dollars in a decade. But of course the real cost of smoking is much, much greater than that. You have to figure out what 1 year of your life is worth to you, and then multiply that by about 5 to 15. Because that is how many years you are going to die early unless you take action and do something about your cigarette addiction.

So back to the question. Should you go see a smoking hypnotist? Duh! You need to take action right now, it doesn’t matter what. Make a pact with yourself that you are going to quit smoking cigarettes no matter what. You are wasting time and money every day by continuing to smoke. You are sealing your fate by continuing to smoke. You need to attack this problem with an extreme amount of desperation.

You know what I did? I took a vacation. Just to quit smoking. I took 2 weeks off work, just to quit smoking.

You need to go to that level or even beyond. You need to get serious. So yeah, try hypnotism if you think that might be your thing. Whatever. The key is that you take action.

Do it now!

Is it possible to stop smoking with hypnosis? Absolutely. The key is that you take action and get motivated to try it out. The fact that you are researching the idea is good, but now you need to follow that up with decisive action. It does no good to think about different techniques for quitting smoking if you do not take action on them. The worst thing you can do is to just allow yourself to keep smoking without pushing yourself to quit. Therefore if you have an idea about quitting smoking, such as trying hypnosis or the gum or the patch or whatever, it is important that you act on that idea and take action. Is it expensive to do so? No it is not…it is actually cheaper to spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars on quitting smoking than it is to continue to smoke. If you continue smoking you will waste over a thousand dollars each year, plus you will be building up huge medical bills in the future due to what you are doing to your health. The only sensible option is to throw everything you have into quitting.

Now if you are going to try hypnosis to stop smoking then you should give yourself every advantage and use some other techniques along with it in order to give yourself the best odds of success. There are 2 super strategies that you can use that will go along great with hypnosis and they will not cost you a penny. Both of them are a bit of a challenge to pull off but if you want to quit then you will have to make the sacrifice.

1) Start exercising every day. Everybody whines about having to do this but if you follow through with it then you will double your chances of staying off the cigarettes long term. You can just walk every day but if you do then make sure you walk briskly and for at least 30 minutes. This is critical in making your body feel better when it does not have the nicotine to boost you. Start this before you quit smoking and continue doing it forever.

Exercise every day. No excuses.

2) Do not allow yourself to sleep for at least 36 hours after you smoke your last cigarette. Drink plenty of fluids and juices during this time to help flush the nicotine out of your body. When you get to the 36 hour mark, go to sleep. When you wake up your nicotine withdrawals will basically be over and you will be feeling better already.

Now if you’ll excuse me, my wife hypnotized me this morning and insisted that I go find some new aluminum patio covers for the house! Catch you all later…..

Should you use hypnosis for quitting smoking? Absolutely.

You should move past this stage where you are wondering what you should do to try and quit smoking altogether. What I mean by that is that you should be much more desperate in your search to stop smoking cigarettes. It should be your number one priority in life right now and you should be doing anything and everything that you can in order to stop. Don’t wonder if something will work for you or not, just try it out. If it does not work in helping you to quit, try something else. The cost of trying to quit smoking is easily absorbed if you and when you succeed. You will save thousands of dollars by not smoking, so never hesitate to spend a couple hundred or more on quitting. The cost of continuing to smoke is so incredibly high, that you could easily spend a couple thousand dollars on quitting and it would be a bargain.

Of course quitting is much cheaper than that, and almost none of the quit smoking aids or techniques actually cost more than a few hundred dollars. If you can try hypnosis for less than a hundred bucks, then what the heck are you waiting for? If it works, it is like winning the lottery over the long term. You will save thousands of dollars and several years of your life. This is too big of an opportunity to pass up. You should be grasping at this prize with the desperation of a drowning person. Become willing to spend whatever it takes in order to quit.

If you do decide to try hypnosis, you should combine it with another technique that will only help to increase your chances of quitting. That technique is to start exercising every single day. If you do this you will increase your chances by a hundred fold. The idea is that you will be replacing the dopamine and the “feel-good” chemicals in your brain with the natural endorphins from the exercise. If you exercise vigorously every day, this chemical rush that you get from the exercise will carry you through the whole day and really help out as far as the cravings are concerned. Not only that, but there are a ton of other benefits to daily exercise that we do not even have to go into here. Everyone moans and groans about this one and no one follows through with it. The few who do actually take the daily exercise challenge are the ones who stay off the cigarettes for good.

Does hypnotherapy stop smoking really work? Can it help you to quit smoking after other strategies have failed you?

I believe that it can help. But really there is a special distinction here that you should understand in order to get the most benefit out of it.

Hypnosis for quitting smoking is not a magic bullet. And no one is really claiming that it is. Just look at the other quit smoking products out there, such as the patch and the laser treatments and the stop smoking shots and so on. None of them are a magic bullet and none of them are guaranteed to work. So when you use something like hypnotherapy to quit smoking, you need to realize that it is not going to do the work for you. You still have to make a tremendous effort in order to quit successfully.

So what can you do to make that effort? I would suggest a 3 part strategy for quitting, based on what worked for me, and what I see working for others.

As a disclaimer, I would have you note that this technique does not rely on social support at all. I tried for years to quit smoking by using social support and it failed every time for me. It was only when I decided that I was quitting by myself, for myself, with no outside help that I was able to quit successfully. Now I know that others out there use the opposite strategy (such as Nicotine Anonymous), but that is what worked for me.

So here is the 3 part strategy:

1) Start exercising every single day. Just walk if you have to. Do more if you can. But commit to every single day. No questions asked. Do it.

2) Stay awake for the first 36 hours after you smoke your last cigarette. Force yourself to stay up. No napping allowed. At the 36 hour mark, you may sleep. This is brilliant because you will sleep through the worst of your withdrawals.

3) When you wake up from this super power sleeping session, I would have your hypnotherapy session scheduled to take place. Go get hypnotized.

That’s it. If you do exactly what I suggest here then your chances of staying smoke free will be very, very good. Of course it is a lot of work though, and most people will not follow through with it. Most people don’t succeed in quitting smoking though. If you want good results you have to put in a massive effort.

Hypnosis stop smoking is a technique that might work for you if you truly have a desire to quit anyway. But the main thing that you need to understand is that hypnosis is not going to create the desire to quit within you. You have to generate that for yourself.

Many people believe that quit smoking aids like acupuncture or hypnosis are a magic bullet for quitting smoking. In fact, all they can do is to help a small bit for someone who is already dedicated to the idea of quitting. They cannot change your mind for you or give you the desire itself.

Now hypnosis is a powerful technique in term of quitting because it is a supplemental strategy. It can work well with other quit smoking techniques. If you combine it with a strong plan to help you quit then it can be the key factor that gives you the needed boost to help make your quit successful. But if you are relying on the hypnosis to do all of the work for you in terms of quitting then this is probably the wrong attitude.

For example, say you are going to try quitting cold turkey. This is actually a very good plan and many people think that because you are not using nicotine replacement products like the patch or the gum that you are at a disadvantage. In fact your chances are greater for long term success by not using them. Now if you are steady exercising before you quit smoking then this will be an extremely helpful habit to continue with. I would also recommend my infamous technique of staying up for 36 hours or so after you smoke your last cigarette so that you sleep through the worst part of your withdrawal.

Now if you combine these strategies:

1) Cold turkey quitting

2) Daily exercise routine already established before quitting

3) Sleep through withdrawal

4) Hypnosis to gain psychological edge

Then you will have a very solid plan for quitting smoking. See how the hypnosis is merely a supplemental strategy, but it can still be critical for your success? If you want to be sure that you quit smoking and you really want to have good results, then you need to attack the problem with overwhelming force. Following those 4 strategies is one way to do so and it will give you excellent results. Also note that the total cost of that plan is probably under a hundred dollars, provided you only use one hypnosis session. The other items on the list are free and will make a huge impact.

Can you use hypnosis to stop smoking? Sure you can, and it will help give you a mental edge on the game as long as you have a true willingness to stop smoking in the first place. But the key is that you have to really be ready to stop when you go to get hypnotized. You can’t have any reservations about wanting to smoke again some day. If you do, then the hypnosis will not be as effective.

Now some people argue that this means that hypnosis to quit smoking must be a sham. If you have to be so committed to quitting, they argue, then it seems like you could have quit successfully without the hypnosis anyway. This is not necessarily true. There are many people who are genuinely desperate to quit smoking, and yet they still try and fail over and over again to give it up. They cannot quit without some form of help.

Compared to other methods of quitting smoking, hypnosis is actually pretty cheap. If you figure the cost of wearing a nicotine patch for the recommended number of weeks, go and calculate that cost and it will be several hundred dollars. Most people who have used hypnosis to overcome nicotine addiction have done so with only a single session that cost less than a hundred dollars.

There are so many different quit smoking aids out there now and none of them really offer a magic bullet. You see, what people really want when they seek out a quit smoking aid is they want something that will make them want to quit smoking. They want something with a built in motivator. They want something that will work magic on them. They want the impossible to become possible and for a magic pill or a patch or a gimmick to just take their smoking addiction away altogether. Folks, this is not going to happen. The desire to quit smoking has to come from within. You have to be thoroughly sick of smoking and all of the negative stuff that goes along with it. You have to be sick and tired of the coughing and the wheezing and the smell on your clothes and the standing in the rain and the need to go out in the winter just to buy another pack and so on. You have to be sick to death of all of that stuff and really hate it and want to be done with it for good. It is only when you are at that point when you should seek hypnosis to help you quit smoking. It is then that the technique will truly help you and really make a difference.

Can you use hypnosis to quit smoking? The answer would appear to be a resounding “yes” based on the success of many people and successful ex smokers out there, including some that I know personally. I know of at least one very hard core and long time smoker who has successfully used hypnosis to do the impossible and finally give up the cigarettes. It is a triumph for him because he thought he would never be able to quit.

Now even if you do go the hypnosis route, there are some things that you should do in order to increase your chances of a successful quit. For one thing, you have to realize that you still have to want to quit. Deep down, the motivation still has to come from within. Now some people believe that this makes quit smoking hypnosis a sham, but in fact, this is going to be true of any quit smoking technique. If you don’t really want to quit, then nothing is going to work.

These various quit smoking strategies don’t actually force you to want to quit. It would be great if they did but that is not how it works. They do not make you want to quit, you have to generate that desire on your own. You can get that desire through raising your self esteem and through living healthier in other ways. For example, if you shift your priorities in other areas of your life and start eating healthier and exercising more frequently, then there will be a natural tendency for the rest of your overall health to want to follow along with this. It is all part of raising your self esteem and feeling good about yourself and treating yourself right. If you do not care about your self and about your body then it is easy to continue smoking. But if you are working out every day and eating healthy and working hard on your personal growth in other areas, then it makes less and less sense to continue to punish your body with smoking.

So the obvious solution is to seek holistic growth. Start focusing on building healthy habits and healthy self esteem in every way possible. Push yourself to do this and to grow and then when you have established these new habits and you think you have the desire to quit smoking, go get hypnotized. It is fairly cheap and you probably only need one session. Do this and you will be pleased with the results.

Hypnosis, smoking, laser treatments, magnet therapy, stop smoking shots….which of these alternative treatments are legitimate, and which ones are full of crap? Can hypnosis really help you to stop smoking? Is it worth pursuing?

In my opinion, based on my experience and of those around me, I would recommend that anyone give hypnosis a try for quitting smoking.

Now there are some disclaimers here and I do not really know for sure if hypnosis is the real deal or not. I did not use it personally when I quit smoking as I basically just did cold turkey and that is what finally worked for me. But I do know of a few other people who are close friends and one of them tried to quit smoking a few times through the past few years and he failed every time until he tried hypnosis. That finally worked for him and he has not smoked for over 3 years now.

The problem with this sort of story is that nearly anything might have worked, because it is very possible that my friend had finally “become ready” to quit for real this time. Had he decided to try the nicotine patch instead, or the laser treatment, those things might very well have worked for him, simply because he had finally made the decision to quit on a really deep level. In other words, the hypnosis appeared to have worked for him, but it might have just been lucky timing, and the specific tactic he tried at that time took all the credit.

Now you do have to give hypnosis a bit of credit, in that it is not generally very expensive compared to other quit smoking strategies, such as the laser treatments or the shots or even the patches. If you shop around for a hypnotist you will see that it is cheaper than the alternatives, so at least there is that. You might not be successful at quitting but at least it will not cost you much to find this out. And if you do succeed at quitting, like my friend did, then your investment into the hypnosis is probably one of the best investments you have ever made in your life….the equivalent of betting 50 bucks at a casino and winning a hundred thousand bucks or so.

So I say give it a try, the risk is minimal and there is not much downside. I have seen it work for my friends and I have also seen it fail for some people. Don’t pay more than a hundred bucks or so.
